I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled An Ordinance concerning Statutory Declarations,

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.

An Ordinance of a similar kind was passed in 1885 in the Straits Settlements. It is trusted the present Ordinance will produce uniformity in the wording of Statutory Declarations in Hongkong.
